Apply a multiplier

Apply a B20 Asset multiplier to update displayed unit balances without migrating holders. A stock split is one example.

Run a 2-for-1 stock split by setting the B20 Asset multiplier to 2e18. Raw balances stay unchanged, while scaledBalanceOf and conversion helpers expose the post-split share amounts.

Real-world asset (RWA) tokenization is one of many use cases for the B20 Asset standard. The examples on this page use a stock token for illustration; the same flows apply to other asset types.

multiplier() returns 2e18; raw balances remain unchanged while scaled balances double.
